About Me

James specialises in narrative fiction, but has filmed and directed projects in a diverse range of genres, including documentary, dance for camera, art and experimental work.

James has directed drama productions on High Definition, 16mm and 35mm and has worked as part of camera and lighting crews on a variety of shorts, including projects with Kneehigh Theatre and Awen Productions, James has also worked on two low-budget feature films: O-Region's “The Midnight Drives”, and “The Lark”, produced by War-rag.

Additionally, James has worked as a film practitioner on numerous projects including South West Screen's 2008 TOR project and running film workshops for Cornish dance company The Works and Cape Cornwall School. He has also had commissions from Cornwall Sustainable Tourism Project, online journal Art Cornwall, The Cornish Theatre Collective and Truro City of Lights Festival.
